HARRIS LAMB RETAINED TO AID POUNDSTRETCHER EXPANSION ACROSS THE UK
Harris Lamb has been retained by the Poundstretcher chain to identify and acquire new sites across central England as the business pushes forward with massive expansion plans.
The business has appointed Harris Lamb to help it achieve its aim of launching a further 35 stores before the end of the year.
David Walton, head of retail at Harris Lamb, said: “Poundstretcher is a fast-growing empire, and the business is now keen to increase its footprint across the UK, and has retained us, along with a number of other UK agents, to help realise that ambition.
“Poundstretcher includes the successful Pet Hut and Pound Dealz retailers, and we’re now using our knowledge of the UK market to identify high street, shopping centre and retail park locations in major Midlands towns and cities that will make suitable additions to the chain,” he said.
Suitable sites will boast ground floor sales areas of 5,000-40,000sq ft, have open A1 planning consent and will be a mix of in- and out-of-town retail locations.
They will enjoy prime locations to benefit from high customer footfall with national retailer brands located close by.
David added: “This is an exciting opportunity and we’re already in conversations with a number of contacts to help us present a number of suitable sites. We’re keen to hear from anyone with existing units ready for occupation, or development sites located in prominent town centre positions or out of town sites across the region, ideally offering A1 planning consent.”
