Gleefully awaiting September…
Preparations are well underway for Glee 2016, where the Malcolm Scott Consultants team will be on hand to share expertise and examples of the support provided to countless garden centres over the past 30 years, supported by colleagues from Harris Lamb’s retail and land teams.
As the most important event in the garden retail trade’s calendar, Glee brings products, innovation, advice, trends and expertise from hundreds of suppliers together over the course of three days.
Taking place at the NEC in Birmingham, this year’s show runs from September 12th-14th, and MSC will be one of 500 exhibitors, providing expertise and guidance to retailers on increasing footfall and service offering.
Malcolm Scott said: “Glee is always a very worthwhile exhibition filled with insight and inspiration for visitors. As always, we’ll be there to present case studies and demonstrate our expertise to the garden centre trade.
“The sector is bigger than ever before, and we want to show managers and retailers how detailed planning and creative design can transform a popular garden centre into a very successful destination with the addition of hospitality and leisure amenities.
“This year we’ll be citing successful examples including Tong garden centre, Frensham garden centre and Garson Farm garden centre to explain how our dedicated team of planners have helped these businesses develop their customer offering.
“We’ll also be joined by colleagues from Harris Lamb’s retail and land acquisition departments to discuss the additional services and support the business can offer,” he added.
The MSC team will be located on stand 17T59 and will be happy to provide advice on planning matters, site assessments, development opportunities, local plan representations and retail concept design, along with Harris Lamb’s extensive property service offering.
