BLACK COUNTRY AUTHORITIES ISSUE CALL FOR SITES AS CORE STRATEGY REVIEW IS LAUNCHED

The Black Country Authorities have issued a Call for Sites alongside its Issues and Options consultation for the Black Country Core Strategy Review.
The Core Strategy Review extends the plan period until 2036 and the consultation document outlines the need to identify additional sites for a total of 24,670 houses and 300 hectares of employment land. This will require sites both within and outside the existing urban area to be released.
It will also include sites to deliver development across the plan period and so this includes sites that are not available today, but will become available within the plan period.
The Call for Sites and the Issues and Options consultation will run until the 8th September 2017.
The Call for Sites presents the opportunity for any land or properties to be submitted to the Black Country Authorities to be assessed for their ability to meet the development needs identified in the Core Strategy Review, whilst the Issues and Options consultation presents the opportunity to comment on the strategy for how the development needs of these authorities should be addressed.
