AESTHETICS CLINIC SECURED AS LATEST OCCUPIER AT RUGBY’S SWAN CENTRE
A beauty clinic has been confirmed as the latest occupier at Rugby’s open air shopping complex further to continued investment into the town’s retail presence.
DermaNu, an aesthetics business owned by Rebecca Macpherson, will open at unit 11 of the Swan Centre in the next few weeks having agreed a 10-year-lease with retail agents Harris Lamb.

Rebecca, who has worked within the beauty industry for 10 years, said she had harboured ambitions to open her own clinic for some time, and was delighted to have secured the site to launch her venture.
“I love being able to help and work with men and women with confidence-destroying conditions and help to resolve them. It is all about treating them, getting positive results, and finally watching their confidence grow and come back – it is just so rewarding.
“The beauty market is fairly saturated, so beauty on its own is quite difficult to sell. However, with the aesthetic industry growing so rapidly – at an estimated rate of five per cent per year – there are a lot more treatments out there that can offer long term benefits and results, that target and treat skin concerns and conditions, rather than just covering them up or disguising them. This is such an exciting and interesting industry to be a part of, and I hope that with the new clinic, I can offer these solutions to people within Rugby and the surrounding area.
“I have been preparing myself to take this huge leap and open up my own clinic for a while now and am finally able to do so, making myself more available to my clients for advice and future treatments this can only be rewarding and fulfilling in so many ways. It’s a very exciting time for me,” she added.
Harris Lamb was retained by the Caracal Properties, who bought the Chapel Street centre last summer, tasked with sourcing suitable new occupiers for vacant retail units at the complex, and Head of Retail David Walton said that DermaNu was an ideal fit.
David said: “Caracal is regenerating the Swan centre, and the complex is an ideal site for new and established businesses to take on a prime city centre location benefitting from high levels of footfall and complementary neighbouring businesses.
“With an extensive range of services, to offer, Rebecca felt that a central, premises would make it easier for customers to access her treatments, and with plentiful parking and a number of established neighbouring retailers including Costa Coffee, there is an existing customer base to the centre that DermaNu is sure to appeal to.”
Harris Lamb’s Retail team is marketing five further units at the centre, ranging from 500 sq ft to 2,836 sq ft, to potential new occupiers seeking a presence in the thriving town centre.
David added: “We’re delighted that Rebecca has chosen the Swan Centre to launch her new premises. She has chosen a very exciting time to locate herself in Rugby, and will be part of the town’s renaissance. The town has undergone a new lease of life in recent months with significant investment being ploughed into its improvement, and she will be able to capitalise on that to give her clinic a shop-window.
