OCCUPIER SOUGHT FOR 57,000 SQ FT BIRMINGHAM WAREHOUSE
Commercial agents at Harris Lamb have been instructed to let a Birmingham warehouse following their success in securing a record rent at the site earlier this year.
A new occupier is sought for Unit 3, Meteor Park, a 57,000 sq ft warehouse with offices and parking and which is currently undergoing an extensive refurbishment.
Harris Lamb let Unit 1, a 35,777 sq ft warehouse on the business park, to Network Rail on a 10-year lease in April this year, achieving a record rent for a secondary mid-box property of its size within the West Midlands, and Neil Slade, who oversaw the deal, said he anticipated a lot of interest in the latest opportunity.
“This self-contained, secure and gated business park is one of the last speculatively-built estates prior to the recession, and the landlords have invested a significant sum into refurbishing the property to an as-new standard,” said Neil.
“Located on Argyle Street in Aston, just three miles from Birmingham City Centre, Meteor Park offers excellent UK access links by way of its immediate access to junction six of the M6.
“With such high demand for industrial property throughout the Midlands, we are confident that an opportunity of this size and specification will attract a lot of interest. Unit 1 was let within just a few weeks of being placed on the market, and we anticipate similar enquiry levels with this unit,” he added.
Unit 3 benefits from a 10-metre eaves height, 50 kN/sq m floor loading capacity and a concrete yard, as well as a ground-floor reception, first-floor offices, lift access and kitchenette and wc areas.
The property, which also has dedicated parking for 77 vehicles, is being offered on a new full repairing and insuring lease.
