HARRIS LAMB LEADS WAY ON PHASED RETURN TO THE OFFICE

Harris Lamb has successfully implemented the first phase of returning its employees to an office environment further to Government guidance.

When the country went into lockdown in March, the business immediately implemented its contingency plan, making a seamless transition to home working.

With the Prime Minister having earlier this month instructed business to return to the office where possible to expediate the country’s chances of boosting the economy, the business has now put the appropriate social distancing measures in place and a rota in operation to limit capacity across all four Harris Lamb offices, as well as those of its sister companies Malcolm Scott Consultants and Sellers.

Richard Fantham

Richard Fantham, Head of Professional Services, said: “We have been delighted with the attitude of everyone across our three businesses throughout a very challenging time.  Everyone has been pulling together and providing support for teams, some of whom seem to be busier than ever providing guidance and reassurance to our clients.  We have also had excellent support from our Account Management and Support Staff teams which have shown a great desire and willingness to ensure a seamless client service.

“Our IT team deserve a special mention for their hard work in creating and executing a failsafe plan to ensure continuity of service during this difficult period.

“Each of our departments, while still in constant contact with one another and their clients via video and telephone, are now back in the office on a rota-basis, providing increased confidence in the office environment and the all-important face-to-face contact that so many of have missed,” he added.

Charles D’Auncey, Head of Agency, further praised his colleagues’ ability to adapt to the crisis: ““I have been really impressed with the way all of our teams have been able to continue to work with clients, and the way that they have sought to work together to identify what our client needs are, both now and in the future.

“It has been a huge team effort right through the business, with staff showing real adaptability and an ability to overcome, which will only serve us and our clients well for the future. And although we are looking forward to a full return to the office over the coming months, we have been highly encouraged by the ability of all staff to continue to work on instructions through this difficult time and to keep our clients’ needs at the fore.”
