HARRIS LAMB APPOINTED TO MARKET NEW WAREHOUSE OPPORTUNITIES IN SOUTH STAFFORDSHIRE
Harris Lamb has been retained to market three new-build warehouses near Wolverhampton after Barberry Industrial unveiled plans for a £28m speculative build project.
The developer has submitted proposals to build three industrial/logistics units totalling 227,750 sq ft at Hilton Cross Business Park, just off junction one of the M54 near Wolverhampton.
Jon Robinson, Barberry’s Development Director, said: “We have submitted a detailed planning application for the development of three high quality manufacturing/logistics units, with a view to securing planning and enabling us to start construction on site in Q2 2021.
“We have an excellent working relationship with South Staffordshire Council and we are looking forward to working with them to deliver this prime motorway-connected manufacturing/logistics scheme of more than 227,750 sq ft of self-contained, high quality accommodation to help satisfy demand in the mid-box sector.”
Charles D’Auncey, Head of Commercial Agency at Harris Lamb, said: “The construction of these buildings come as welcome news following the dearth of speculative development throughout 2020 as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, and will bring investment and employment to the region. We are delighted that Barberry has appointed us to market the opportunities.
“Barberry has a first-class record for delivering high-specification developments, and that reputation, combined with the prime location of the business park at the heart of the country’s motorway network, is sure to attract a high calibre of potential occupiers.
“Demand for high-quality industrial property remains high throughout the region, and these three buildings, at 47,750 sq ft, 62,000 sq ft and 113,000 sq ft respectively, will provide both freehold and leasehold opportunities. We anticipate high enquiry levels prior to construction beginning next year,” he added.
