OLIVIA ACHIEVES CHARTERED RTPI STATUS
A planner at Harris Lamb has strengthened her professional credentials by securing her status as a chartered member of the Royal Town Planning Institute.
Olivia Morris, who joined the business in 2017, reached the latest milestone last month after spending 18 months working towards her RTPI Assessment of Professional Competence.
The achievement is the latest box ticked on Olivia’s career checklist following her finding time alongside her full-time role with the business to study for – and graduate with a Distinction in – a Master’s Degree in Urban and Regional Planning at the University of Birmingham.
Olivia said: “As soon as I graduated in 2019, I set my sights on securing my RTPI APC, something that I knew my colleagues would fully support. Throughout the advancement of my education and experience, I’ve been fortunate enough to benefit from a huge amount of guidance and encouragement from my colleagues and this was no exception.
“It’s been hard work, but I am thrilled to have achieved the goal, and am now focussed on gaining further experience within my team to benefit the business.”
Simon Hawley, Director at Harris Lamb, said: “Olivia is an extremely committed member of our planning team and we’re thrilled – and entirely unsurprised – that she has secured her Chartered RTPI status.
“The way she has continued with her studies alongside her work for Harris Lamb, particularly in light of the challenges that the past 15 months have presented, perfectly demonstrates the diligence she has shown ever since she joined our team, and she continues to be is an asset to our planning consultancy.”
