“At 33,500 sq ft, this four storey building is located in a prominent position close to the Guildhall and within a five-minute walk from the bus station and prime shopping area, ensuring high levels of footfall for the business. Poundstretcher has taken approximately 10,000 ft sq at ground floor.
“The property already had large open plan retail trading areas with goods loading and staff parking to the rear off St Katherine’s Street, and further to a refit, will open its doors to customers at 10am on Saturday (July 3).
Poundstretcher’s great-value offering has thrived during the Pandemic as customers sought out its extensive product range and stocked up on branded household essentials.”
David added: “The pandemic has changed the way people shop, and one thing they have come to expect is a safe and comfortable environment.
“Poundstretcher has seen this first hand, and sought a large outlet to ensure it continued to meet those expectations, The size and layout of this store will enable the business to to enhance its customer shopping experiene, and we’re confident it will be extremely well received.”
The retailer is now on a recruitment drive for both part and full time staff from the local area.
