HARRIS LAMB AWARDED COSTAR ACCOLADES FOR NORTHAMPTON RETAIL LETTING

Harris Lamb’s Retail Agency team has scooped a top industry award after closing a significant deal within the East Midlands.

Industry bible CoStar this week announced the winners of its 2021 Quarter Two competition, with the business having won an accolade within the East Midlands leasing category.

The award follows the business’ success in securing a 10,000ft unit in Northampton on behalf of discount retailer Poundstretcher as it expanded its network of UK stores.

The outlet at 34 Gold Street was acquired for the chain on a 10-year lease and opened its doors last month.

Head of Retail for Harris Lamb, David Walton, said: “As an essential retailer, Poundstretcher has been able to continue with its plans to grow its UK-wide footprint, and we are thrilled to have been retained to identify and secure sites to help it do so.

“We are extremely pleased to have been recognised in these awards. It is no secret that the retail sector has suffered dreadfully as a result of the Pandemic and the national lockdowns, so to have a success story highlighted within the retail property sector is very encouraging.
