HARRIS LAMB AND FRANKLIN GALLIMORE TO MARKET 130-APARTMENT RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT SITE IN WALSALL
A landmark residential development in Walsall has been given the green light by planners, with Harris Lamb and Franklin Gallimore having been instructed to market the site to potential developers and investors.
Walsall Metropolitan Borough Council’s Planning Committee approved the plans, which will see 130 new apartments built on the site of the town’s former police station , subject to finalising s106 planning contributions.
The site on the junction of Green Lane and Court Way is now cleared, with the proposed one- and two-bedroom apartment scheme expected to attract interest from developers, housing associations, care providers and private rental investors.
Chris Jones, Director of Harris Lamb’s Residential Land team, said: “This is a prime opportunity , with the proposed development close to both the town centre , its train station and providing excellent links to all Midlands motorway and transport hubs”
“Walsall is attracting significant investment , with multiple amenities and strong access links to the rest of the region – we expect high levels of interest from potential developers keen to spearhead this project.”
Further information on the scheme can be found on the Walsall MBC planning portal (20/1103). Ground Investigation reports will be part of a detailed data room which is currently being prepared for release.
