NEW CAFÉ BAR SET TO LAUNCH IN MACCLESFIELD FOLLOWING PROPERTY DEAL

A former retail unit in Macclesfield is set to be transformed into a stylish café bar, having been let to Loungers PLC, operators of the popular Cosy Club and Lounge chains.

Commercial agents at Harris Lamb have let the former Poundland site on Mill Street to Loungers PLC on a 17-year lease.

Mike Burr, who oversaw the letting, said: “This opportunity attracted a huge amount of interest from potential occupiers due to its location in a thriving area of the town.

“A two-storey, double fronted unit with a 9,785 sq ft floor plate, the unit is positioned in the main pedestrianised retail area of Macclesfield, beside the Grosvenor shopping scheme, and therefore attracts significant levels of footfall from shoppers.”

Macclesfield’s town centre retail offering is centred around Mill Street and Chestergate with the Grosvenor Shopping Centre linking the two main retail high streets, with occupiers including Superdrug, Mountain Warehouse, TK Maxx, Clarkes, Waterstones, Fat Face, Pandora and a number of independent retailers.
