FOR THEY ARE JOLLY GOOD FELLOWS
Harris Lamb’s dedicated Licensed and Leisure specialists have been honoured with an accolade from hospitality network The British Institute of Innkeeping (the BII).
Victoria Trafford and James Ward have been offering expert business rates guidance and support to the hospitality industry for more than a decade, and have been made Fellows of the BII to acknowledge their contribution to the sector.
The BII has been operating for more than 40 years, supporting, celebrating, inspiring and promoting the diversity of those working within the licensed trade.
With a network of more than 10,000 members working across the sector, from apprentices to managers and free-traders, the organisation plays a vital part in providing guidance and support to its members – with the last two years having been paramount in light of the challenges faced by hospitality businesses.
Victoria and James have become trusted Business Rates advisors for the organisation, passing on insight and knowledge to its members to ensure they’re aware of changes and where steps should be taken to secure savings.
Victoria said: “We’ve always been welcomed by the BII at their events, and we’ve shared plenty of insight over the years to save licensed premises money, and when the sector was hit hard by Covid, we were able to provide all the guidance we could in terms of which business were eligible for which level of support package.
“We have always seen it as a mutually fulfilling relationship- we share our expertise with the BII, but in turn, we are able to gather a huge amount of knowledge about how businesses within the sector operate to help us tailor our support.
“We are honoured to have been selected as Fellows of the BII, and we look forward to growing our networks and working closely with hospitality businesses further in the coming years,” she added.
