HARRIS LAMB APPOINTED TO MARKET BLACK COUNTRY INDUSTRIAL ESTATE AS REFURBISHMENT PLANS ARE ANNOUNCED
Harris Lamb has been appointed to market opportunities at a Tipton industrial estate as the landlords undertake an extensive refurbishment at the site.
The business has been instructed to let commercial space on the popular Autobase Industrial Estate on Tipton Road, which is a base for occupiers including Rhys Davis Transport and Barrett Steel Tubes Ltd.
Neil Slade, Director in the Agency team, said: “This is a popular multi-let estate extending to over 500,000 sqft with excellent access links courtesy of its close proximity to the M5 with junctions 1 and 2 just three miles distant.
“In light of the high levels of demand for industrial space within this region, which far outstrips supply, the owners of Autobase, Hansteen Holdings Plc, have committed to investing significant sums into an extensive refurbishment at the park to include recladding, overcladding roofs, providing new yard space and new elevations to the void units at the site.
“Amongst those units being upscaled are a 76,000 sqft warehouse, which is one of the largest in the area and a 25,000 sqft building, both of which are expected to see high levels of demand.
“Good quality stock throughout the region is being snapped quickly and by refurbishing second-hand stock to meet the need in the Black Country we are confident that the estate will quickly reach full capacity,” he added.
Known as Unit 9, the 76,000sqft property provides high bay (near 10m) eaves height, large enclosed yard and is fully refurbished ready for immediate occupation, with Unit 14 providing extensive gated yard and also ready for occupation following completion of landlord works.
