HARRIS LAMB MARKETS BARWELL LAND PARCEL WITH OUTLINE PLANNING IN PLACE FOR 25 NEW HOMES
Land agents at Harris Lamb have been instructed to sell a 5.6-acre site in Leicestershire with outline planning permission for 25 new homes.
The land at Crabtree farm is located in the village of Barwell in the heart of the Leicestershire countryside, 12 miles from the city centre and three miles away from the town of Hinckley.
James Willcock, of Harris Lamb’s Residential Land team, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for housebuilders seeking picturesque residential development sites within the East Midlands.
“Set in the Leicestershire countryside, the land on Hinckley Road is currently made up of pastureland surrounded by hedgerows, while offering excellent access links and being close to the village’s extensive amenities.
“Barwell is a buzzing village with a number of shops, pubs and restaurants, and offers a thriving sporting community courtesy of three football clubs, a rugby and cricket club. Its proximity to Hinkley means that larger facilities such as shopping centres, a leisure centre and a cinema, are all easy to reach.
“It’s also well-appointed for reaching the UK motorway network, being six miles from the M69, and less than five miles from the A5, providing easy access to the M6 and the M1,” he added.
Outline planning permission has already been granted for 25 new homes, 20 per cent of which are to be allocated as affordable housing.
An extension of an existing play area at the site is also proposed in order enhance the facilities available to families.
