HARRIS LAMB SECURES LEAMINGTON SITE FOR COFFEE OUTLET AS PART OF MIDLANDS ACQUISITION DRIVE
Retail agents at Harris Lamb have acquired a Leamington Spa site for a new coffee shop on behalf of Heart of England Co-Operative Society.
The business has been retained by Heart of England Co-Operative Society to identify suitable sites throughout the Midlands to establish coffee shops, with the 1,027 sq ft opportunity on Leamington Shopping Park being the latest addition to its portfolio.
The Heart of England Co-Operative Society has taken on a franchise agreement with Bewiched Coffee, a Midlands-based urban coffee experience, with an aim of launching additional walk-in and drive-thru sites throughout the region in the coming months.
The Leamington store, which is currently being fitted out to open this summer, will be Bewiched’s 15th location within the Midlands.
David Walton, Head of Retail at Harris Lamb, said: “Heart of England Co-Operative Society is on a huge acquisition drive right now to source sites across the region suitable for its coffee shop offering, with particular emphasis on drive-thru opportunities and retail park locations.
“Leamington Shopping Park is a perfect fit for a Bewiched store, with neighbours including M&S, TK Maxx and Boots, and more than 500 car parking spaces, thereby bringing high footfall levels to the site.
Harris Lamb acted for the tenant and Xprop acted for the Landlord.
“We are now actively seeking other retail opportunities to expand the franchise across the Midlands. Primarily we are looking for roadside sites on busy routes suitable for drive-thru coffee outlets, key retail park locations and high street opportunities, with a minimum floor plate of approximately 1,000 sq ft”
This will be Heart of England’s second Bewiched site with the first recently opening in Balsall Common.
