FORMER NUNEATON VET PRACTICE TO PROVIDE NEW DWELLINGS
Residential land agents at Harris Lamb have sold a former veterinary surgery in Nuneaton to an established property developer and private landlord.
The 0.13-acre land parcel in the Stockingford area of the town has been sold to Deas Properties for £150,000.
The Church Road site was sold with detailed planning permission for six new properties with parking.
James Willcock, of the business’ Residential Land team, said: “There is a huge demand for living accommodation throughout the Midlands and the potential was recognised for this land parcel in a popular Nuneaton suburb. The site was formerly a veterinary surgery and animal welfare centre, which currently comprises an end-terrace property and a single storey building within the grounds.
“Located just two miles from the town centre, the site is within easy reach of local amenities including shops, pubs and parks, making it an ideal opportunity for residential conversion. The site was being sold with the benefit of detailed permission for the development of four new-build one- bedroom flats and a change of use for the existing veterinary building to two one-bedroom flats. In the short term the developer’s intention is to convert the existing buildings to residential flats, with the potential to redevelop the whole site in the future.
“Deas Properties has a reputation for providing quality living spaces and recognises the demand for rental accommodation in key areas of the Midlands. Having agreed terms and completed the sale, this site neatly extends their property portfolio.”
