HARRIS LAMB APPOINTS NEW ECOLOGIST AS BUSINESS CONTINUES TO GROW
Harris Lamb has developed its in-house Ecology team with the addition a new recruit.
Geri Stidson joins the team from FPCR in Derbyshire, where she worked as an Assistant Ecologist prior to joining Harris Lamb as a Consultant Ecologist.
Geri graduated from the University of Roehampton, London, with a first-class honours BSc degree in Zoology in 2021 before relocating to Nottingham and completing a master’s degree in Endangered Species Recovery and Conservation.
Geri said: “I was drawn to Harris Lamb as it has a focused ecology team working within a wider multi-service organisation, giving me the opportunity to take on a wider variety of projects and work more closely with team members across the business.
“I’ve already started to learn new skillsets, particularly around Biodiversity Net Gain, and I look forward to gathering new skills and honing my existing ones as I advance my career with the business.”
Simon Hawley, Director of Harris Lamb’s Planning Consultancy, said: “Ecology has become an increasingly important focus for businesses and organisations across the UK and ecological impact assessments, Biodiversity Net Gain advice and mitigation steps and protected species surveys and guidance have become essential procedures in preparing plans for commercial and residential projects.
“With guidance constantly evolving, we are committed to growing our team to further the support we offer our clients, and Geri’s enthusiasm and expertise is proving a great asset to the business and our clients. We are continuing our drive to enhance the team further in the coming months as we enter the busiest ecology survey activity period,” he added.
