BIRMINGHAM INDUSTRIAL ESTATE REACHES FULL CAPACITY AS DEMAND CONTINUES TO OUTSTRIP SUPPLY ACROSS THE MIDLANDS
Another Midlands commercial estate has reached full capacity, highlighting the ongoing demand for industrial property within the region.
Holford Industrial Park on Tameside Drive reached fully let status further to the final unit on the estate, a 125,153 sq ft warehouse, being taken on by Top Cloud Logistics Ltd.
Holford 125 was let following a comprehensive refurbishment and offers a modern warehouse with two storey offices, car parking and loading areas, 12 ground-level loading doors and a 550KVA power supply. The unit is located just 1.5 miles from the M6, making it an ideal location for a distribution centre for the e-fulfilment business.
Neil Slade of Harris Lamb’s Agency team, who oversaw the letting, said: “This was one of the last remaining units of its type in the greater Birmingham area and with demand for quality warehousing in the region continuing to outstrip supply, opportunities are becoming increasingly scarce.
“The impact of Covid-19 on the e-fulfilment sector has inevitably led to fervent demand for warehousing to satisfy online shopping. As such, there has been unprecedented take-up for property like Holford 125 and where there is a now a chronic shortage of space in the region
“Due to the high demand for such opportunities, the business agreed terms quickly to secure the unit, signing a five-year lease and has now taken full occupation at the site,” he added.
