HARRIS LAMB PRAISED FOR STAFF SUPPORT AND PROGRESSION AS IT RETAINS INVESTORS IN PEOPLE STATUS
Harris Lamb has retained its Investors In People status following its latest assessment from the body.
The business, which first achieved Investors In People status in 2004, was assessed in June this year as part of its ongoing commitment to upholding the accolade, and was described by assessor Hev Bingley as giving its team long-term security.
Hev said: “Harris Lamb does an enormous amount to support the professional development of its staff, recognising that clients want to deal with a professional adviser, but also that this increases the capacity within the business.”
She went on to say: “People do believe that Harris Lamb is a great place to work, which was reinforced during the interviews, with a belief that it is moving in the right direction.”
Harris Lamb, which employs more than 80 people across its four Midlands offices, scored above the IIP average level in the assessment and will work with Hev over the next three years to further strengthen the business.
Patrick Downes, director, said: “We place a great deal of importance on these ongoing assessments and this standard is one that we are particularly proud of and determined to uphold.
“We have always taken pride in how dedicated and close-knit our team is, and we’ve made every effort to support them and provide a framework that helps people develop their careers. To get positive feedback from the assessor following individual staff interviews gives us enormous satisfaction as it shows us that the support we give and the ethos we strive to encourage is both acknowledged and appreciated.
“At the time of our last assessment, in December 2015, we employed 53 people, a figure which has increased to 80 in the past three years thanks to high staff retention levels and our business continuing to develop. We are delighted that our team take such pride in working here and will continue to work with the IIP team to improve further,” he added.
