HARRIS LAMB ANNOUNCES ACQUISITION OF BLACK COUNTRY CHARTERED SURVEYORS SELLERS

Property consultancy Harris Lamb has furthered its ongoing expansion plan with the acquisition of established Black Country Chartered Surveyors Sellers.

Directors at the business said that the Dudley-based firm would continue to operate under its own name due to its history and reputation within the region.

Harris Lamb, which formed in 1992, has organically grown to a business employing more than 80 people across its four existing Midlands sites, and has added new services to meet client demand, with the launch of its retail and roadsidedivision in 2014, its residential land department in 2016 and its environmental consultancy in 2018.

Sellers is the third business to be brought under the Harris Lamb umbrella, further to the acquisition of Worcester-based horticultural planning specialists Malcolm Scott Consultants in May 2016 and the Nottingham-based Humberts Rating practice in September of the same year.

Charles D’Auncey, Director at Harris Lamb, said: “Sellers has been established for almost 30 years, although its roots can be traced back to the 1940s, and is a reputable independent practice specialising in commercial and industrial property throughout the Black Country.

“We recognised a synergy between both businesses and have been working together to bring Sellers under the Harris Lamb umbrella in order to strengthen our service offering.

 “We feel that the team’s experience and expertise will be a huge asset to our own services, and will act as an extension to our own Agency offering. Interest in the Midlands industrial market is at a record level, and we’re looking forward to assisting both existing and additional clients with the new resource,”

Sellers currently employs four people, all of whom will continue to work at the Narrowboat Way office.
