TRACY STEPS UP TO A 150-MILE CHALLENGE IN AID OF CANCER RESEARCH
Tracy Hubbard, of our Malcolm Scott Consultants team, plans to stomp all over Cancer this month in a bid to raise funds for kinder cures, further research and to help save lives with her ’31,000 steps’ pledge.
Tracy aims to raise £1,500 for cancer Research through her 31-day challenge.
Tracy said: “In theory, it’s a sponsored walk, it’s just that rather than doing a Race For Life or something similar, I wanted to make a real commitment to replicate the amount of ground we need to cover in terms of finding kinder cures for this brutal disease.
“This is a hugely important charity to me – without it, my father wouldn’t still be with me, and I’m determined to do whatever I can to help boost funds for the fantastic work it does.
“I’ve committed to walk at least 10,000 steps every day throughout July in a bid to raise £1,500 – £10 for every mile that equates to. My trusty Moves app is helping me keep track of every single step, and I am well on target – averaging more than 12,000 steps a day at present.
“I hope that by the end of the month I’ll have smashed by 31,000-step goal, surpassed the target figure, and helped make a significant contribution to the charity and its invaluable work,” she added.
