WRAPCHIC OPENS FUNKY FLAGSHIP OUTLET IN MEADOWHALL SHOPPING CENTRE
Harris Lamb’s Retail team is delighted to have identified the latest outlet for healthy fast food chain Wrapchic, in Meadowhall shopping centre.
After a hugely successful couple of years Wrapchic is excited to keep the momentum running by opening its latest, beautifully crafted, outlet in the Oasis Dining Quarter at Yorkshire’s premier shopping centre.
David Walton, Head of Harris Lamb’s Retail team, said: “The business is enjoying massive success lately and we’re delighted that we’ve established such a strong partnership with Mahesh and his team. The way Wrapchic is expanding through the UK is fantastic, and myself and e team are actively identifying outlets in prime shopping centres and high streets across the country in order to help that growth continue.”
Wrapchic is a healthy fast-food outlet which combines delicious and authentic Indian food with the convenience of a Mexican wrap. Wrapchic have been creating a massive buzz wherever they go and are currently making an envious mark in the fast food arena where consumers now look for something more – something unique, healthy and interesting. Enter Wrapchic!
Wrapchic has established flagship stores in major sites across the UK including London, Birmingham Bullring, The Broadway in Bradford, Merry Hill in Dudley and INTU Milton Keynes.
Wrapchic was created by Mahesh Raikar in 2012. Mahesh, who has 18 years of food industry experience behind him including a senior role in a Fortune 500 company, wanted to make ever-popular Indian cuisine more easily available to people around the clock, particularly at lunchtime. After working for over two years on the idea, testing and retesting, designing and redesigning, Mahesh invested his own money into opening the first Wrapchic in Birmingham City Centre and hasn’t looked back since.
Mahesh explains what makes Wrapchic’s food stand out from the crowd: “All our core ingredients are prepared at a central location by our expert chefs in order to maintain product standards and authenticity. The ingredients are then delivered to our stores for final preparation”. He adds why he feels Wrapchic are operating at the right time in the right place: “Our concept is unique in the quick serve food sector and brings something new and fresh to the high street. Our existing outlets are doing extremely well in terms of footfall and profitability. The public have really taken to the concept of healthy, fresh, tasty, Indian food served in a burrito”.
Commenting on the new addition to the Oasis Dining Quarter, Alice Keown, British Land Food and Beverage Asset Manager, said: “Wrapchic is a superb addition to Meadowhall’s selection of eateries. They will provide visitors with even greater variety that, combined with the new seating, will ensure Meadowhall continues to be the leading day-out destination in the region.”
Wrapchic Meadowhall will be opened at 11.30am by Wrapchic founder Mahesh Raikar. Wrapchic will be offering complimentary tasters on the day and there will be lots of chances to win vouchers on facebook on the lead up to launch. www.facebook.com/wrapchicmeadowhall
